East Timor is an independent country located in Oceania. As of October 2017, the Turkish government has agreed to grant visa-free access to citizens of East Timor as part of Turkey’s efforts to deepen relations with East Timor and support its economic development.

To be eligible for a Turkish visa, you must be:

A citizen of East Timor

A resident of East Timor for at least six months prior to submitting your application

Not pregnant or breastfeeding

In good health and have no serious medical conditions that would prevent you from travelling

As of September 1, 2016, citizens of East Timor no longer qualify for a visa to enter Turkey. This change was made as part of the Turkish government’s efforts to tighten its visa requirements in order to improve security and protect the country’s tourism industry.

East Timorese citizens may still travel to Turkey for tourism or business purposes without a visa, but they will not be able to stay past 30 days.
