The Irish Government has just announced the launch of special visas which will allow Irish citizens to travel to New Zealand and the Czech Republic. The visas are available starting on the 1st of January, 2018.

What is a New Zealand Visa?
In order to be eligible for a New Zealand visa, you must meet the following requirements:
-Be a citizen of Ireland or a national of Ireland
-Have an onward ticket to New Zealand
-Be in good health and have no criminal record
– Be able to provide evidence of your income (bank statement, payslips, etc.)
How to Apply for a NZ Visa
If you are an Irish citizen and you would like to visit New Zealand, the process of applying for a visa is straightforward. There are a few requirements that you need to meet in order to apply, but the application process itself is relatively quick and easy.
To begin the process of applying for a New Zealand visa, you will first need to gather all of the required documentation. This includes your passport photo, full birth certificate (if applicable), and any other relevant documents.
Once you have gathered all of your required documents, you can begin the application process by visiting the New Zealand Visa Office online. The cost of a New Zealand visa depends on your nationality and how long your stay will be. For Irish citizens, the cost of a two-year visa is currently set at NZ$200 (approximately US$157). For Czech citizens, the cost of a one-year visa is currently set at NZ$130 (approximately US$102). These prices are subject to change, so it is important to check with the New Zealand embassy or consulate in your country of residence before making your application.
Acceptable forms of payment
If you are an Irish citizen who wishes to travel to New Zealand, you will need a visa. There are a number of acceptable forms of payment when applying for your New Zealand visa. The most common methods of payment when applying for a New Zealand visa are by bank transfer or through the Visa Application Centre website. You can also pay by cash at the airport if you are travelling within New Zealand.
