Information on Indian Visa
Indian citizens can apply for a single- or multiple-entry visa to enter the United States. For a single-entry visa, applicants must have a valid passport and completed application forms. Applicants for multiple entry visas must also submit evidence of financial stability and ties to the United States. Indian citizens must also undergo a health check before applying for a visa. The application process takes around two months and applicants are required to pay an application fee of $160. Indians are not required to provide photo identification when applying for a visa, but they are asked to bring their passport and application forms when they arrive in the United States. Indian citizens who hold student visas are not allowed to work while in the United States, but they may study at any accredited institution. Apply Indian Visa

Processing Time and US Passport Visas
Processing time for US passport visa applications is currently taking longer than usual. Indian nationals are not exempt from this processing delay, but the Department of State is working diligently to speed up the process for all applicants.
The Department of State has set a goal of completing passport applications within six weeks, but as of now, the average wait time is 12 weeks. To minimize the time you spend waiting, make sure to complete all required documents and submit them in a single submission. Additionally, keep in mind that you can apply for an expedited passport if you meet certain requirements.
If you are a US citizen and are planning on traveling to India soon, we recommend consulting with an immigration attorney before submitting your application. The attorneys at our firm can provide guidance on specific requirements that may need to be met in order to qualify for an Indian visa.
